Student Life

The students of the University form a diverse and vibrant community and enjoy many extracurricular activities apart from academic pursuits. There are plenty of opportunity at the University to participate in literary, cultural and sporting events. Students also organize many events pertaining to their fields of study outside the academic calendar. Student publications, talks and an annual cultural festival are some of the ways for students to indulge their passion in social, literary and cultural fields

Unmukt – Annual Cultural Festival

The high point of students’ calendar is undoubtedly ‘ Unmukt’, the annual festival held usually in February. Unmukt gives all students a platform to showcase their special talent and indulge in their extracurricular interests. It brings students from diverse backgrounds together in a spirit of celebration. Guest lectures, workshops, music, dance, drama, foodstalls….the festival has it all!

Students' Journal of Education and Development

Students' Journal of Education and Development is an initiative led, edited and published by students in consultation with faculty at Azim Premji University, Bangalore. The journal provides an open space for students of Azim Premji University working in the domains of education and development to sustain critical engagements and dialogues regarding relevant issues and debates in these fields. It aims to promote interdisciplinary and reflective work that can aid the current and future practices and engagements of the students of these domains of social science.
